Figuring out DW

Since I'm an artist first and foremost, I figured I'd try out how the art hosting is here. Maybe I'll post fanart doodles here or smth? Anyway have this humble offering of my BNHA fave.
Thinking abt it, he's probably a Gryffindor, but. I'm a Slytherin, so I like to stick all my faves in Slytherin uniforms at one point or another.

I'm liking DW a lot thus far. It's really bringing back memories from my first few fandoms - very cozy and heartfelt for the most part. I've really missed this kind of fandom, so I think I'm gonna stick around!

Hiii, quick question! I just tried to upload some of my own art onto here, but I can't figure out how to get the image to not be really enlarged. Could I ask how you uploaded yours?

Yeah, of course!
Go to View Images and change the number from the dropdwn menu next to Thumbnail Embed. Then you can use the generated embed link to post smaller thumbnails that max out to full size when clicked! For reference, I used 480 for this post.

Then were your first fandoms on places like Livejournal and such? Many of us missed this aspect of fandom too.

GaiaOnline and private phpBB forums, actually! DW feels like the best of all worlds, tbh. There's customization, separate icons, separate communities that you can access without having them all bleed into each other in one huge mess... A part of me was really sad about the upcoming demise of tumblr but if it hadn't happened, I wouldn't have given this a shot, probably. LJ-style spaces seem really daunting at first and there wasn't really a reason to put effort into migrating.

I know of Gaiaonline but wasn't aware there were communities and such there, now I see better what you like about DW's organisation.

It's understandable as Tumblr was working for you before, why bother, you're in good hands here with the friendly staff and I'd be happy to assist you also ^^
